This programme is designed to progress and accelerate the student's understanding of the photographic process with particular emphasis in studio photography, modern digital photography, alternative processing and darkroom techniques as it relates to commercial or personal applications. The programme is organised around the following areas of study: *Studio Photography - understanding and controlling the studio environment *Digital Photography - exploring the new digital phenomena *Alternative Processing - looking at the Avant Garde, as it is now and as it was *The Darkroom - a comprehensive study of Black and White photography Completion of both the practical and advanced certificates provides a pathway into year two of the Bachelor of Applied Arts (Visual Arts and Deisgn).
