Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) [Specialisation in Circus]

Course Description

Students will study ground-based acrobatics, aerials and equilibristic skills alongside body conditioning, jazz, tap and ballet. The history of circus, anatomy and nutrition also form part of this programme. Students are taught by award winning circus director Deborah Pope and get to work alongside actors, dancers and musical theatre students. Areas covered on this programme include: Acrobatics Cartwheels Hoops Flips Balance Hanging Trapeze Auditions: Group auditions for 2016 will be held on 10–11 October 2015 (Saturday–Sunday) at the Whitireia Performance Centre, 25 Vivian Street, Wellington.​
