This programme introduces and develops skills, knowledge and attitude of professional standard to enable students to seek work in theatre, television and film. Through industry secondment opportunities and self-generated performance projects, students make a transition into working in the stage and screen professions. On successful completion, students may apply to enrol in year three of the Bachelor of Applied Arts (Performing Arts) and create a body of work in their discipline.

Graduates have gone on to professional performance work in theatres in New Zealand and overseas, some have created their own work both for touring programmes and within established performance venues.
