Whitireia New Zealand has been delivering Beauty and Hairdressing courses for over 10 years. We have built up a strong team of industry experienced and qualified tutors who each offer different areas of expertise. Our tutors lead, motivate and inspire students to ensure their success. As a Beauty and Hairdressing student, you can choose to enrol at either our Porirua or Kapiti Campus. Learn about make-up, cosmetics, beauty products and hairdressing. Gain essential theory and practical experience during scheduled salon days and other promotional events held throughout the course, where you work on actual customers. Included in this course is the National Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support) (Level 3) and the opportunity to sit the internationally recognised City and Guilds Certificate in Beauty Therapy.

Graduates are work-ready for apprentice training as a Hairdresser (having achieved the equivalent of six months of a hairdressing apprenticeship), or become a Cosmetics Retail Assistant or Sales Assistant. Further Study: Graduates can continue studying towards the Certificate in Beauty Therapy.
