This programme is designed to develop practical skills, appropriate knowledge and safe working attitudes to perform basic skills in the decorating industry under supervision. Students will use work experience to reinforce learning and skills developed in the programme. Programme Overview Prepare interior surfaces for wallpapering and specialised wall coverings Learn how to apply wallpaper, vinyl and specialised wall coverings Use and maintain conventional and airless spray equipment Apply decorative colour effects Learn the latest in safe working practices including personal protective equipment Re-glaze timber window and door frames

After completing this programme, you can elect to complete further studies; begin an apprenticeship in painting and decorating; or seek employment in paint sales/warehousing or paint manufacturing.
