This is an intensive programme designed for people with at least three years’ experience outside compulsory education who wish to progress to university to study for entry into professions such as nursing, midwifery, operating department practice, occupational therapy or other health professions. The pathway specific subjects include: Anatomy, Respiration and Circulation, Cell Biology, Control and Co-ordination, Disease and Health Studies. This course provides the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge appropriate for progression onto Higher Education courses. Assessment is through a combination of assignments and examinations. Homework or private study is required.
