Course Description

Indigenous Studies/Aboriginal Governance The Indigenous Studies/Aboriginal Governance program offers you the opportunity to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Studies from The University of Winnipeg and a Self-Government Administration diploma from Red River College. The Indigenous Studies/Aboriginal Governance Program is a multidisciplinary program grounded in the intellectual and cultural heritage of indigenous peoples in Canada and around the globe. We welcome students from all backgrounds and disciplines to explore the unique complexities and broad, diverse cultures associated with indigenous governance and studies. Join us as we examine this rich topic through coursework in aboriginal governance, anthropology, history, religious studies, politics, and conflict resolution studies. This major ideally complements other majors including Politics, Psychology, Environmental Studies, Economics, History, and Biology.
