Art History offers a wide variety of courses, from introductory surveys toadvanced courses on Roman Art, Italian Renaissance Art, ContemporaryArt and Theory, Art and Gender, and the Art of Pre-Columbian Americaand Mexico. The study of Art History provides a solid foundation forgraduate study and professional training for students pursuing careersin the arts and related fields. BA students maychoose either a major or minor in Art History. BFA students may notminor in Art History but may opt to pursue the Art History BA as asecond degree.In addition, students from any academic departmentoutside the Department of Art may opt to pursue a minor in Art History or add Art History as a second major.
