Accounting and finance – or managing money – are without doubt key business functions. This exciting, fast-moving discipline uses the latest technology and attracts the brightest and best students. If you have an analytical mind, and a methodical and measured approach to work, a career in accounting and finance is for you. You develop practical skills that are highly valued by employers - such as analytical thinking, problem solving, teamworking and communication. Focusing strongly on real-world business, the course helps you understand the broader context in which accounting is practised. Please note that we are unable to accept direct entry into years 2 and 3 of this course due to the specific conditions of the exemption agreements with professional accounting bodies.

The course is aimed primarily at students wishing to enter a finance-related career and many graduates have obtained trainee accountant positions in a variety of organisations locally, nationally and internationally. However, it also provides an excellent basis for entry into general management.
