Electrical Engineering is a diverse discipline encompassing three major areas: computer engineering (software engineering, digital hardware design, embedded systems, VLSI), systems engineering (communications, control, signal processing), and electrical sciences (electronic and photonic devices, nanotechnology, and energy conversion). The curriculum builds upon a foundation of mathematics and physics to provide students with breadth and selected depth in relation to the three major areas. Basic fundamentals are balanced with the newest developments in engineering technology, and a capstone design course promotes practical experience. Students who complete the BSEE program will be prepared for immediate employment or graduate study.
