Course Description

In this dual honours degree you'll explore how texts and artefacts illuminate the past. You'll learn about ancient civilisations and historical archaeology, and how religion and theology continue to inform our understanding of the past and the present. You'll study archaeological and textual evidence. Modules from the Department of Biblical Studies include the study of ancient civilisations and the use of the Bible in contemporary society. Throughout the course, you'll develop your knowledge of key aspects of the classical, historic and biblical past.

Archaeology at Sheffield builds an extensive range of practical and analytical skills in both humanities and the sciences.
