Admission to the MA program in English is limited and competitive. As a basic requirement for admission to the MA program students are expected to have completed an Honours BA in English (or the equivalent). To be accepted into the MA program students should normally have a minimum B+ average in their English courses. The MA can be completed by full-time or part-time study. Admission to the PhD program in English is limited and competitive. The Department normally accepts a maximum of three students a year. Applicants to the PhD program should have completed an MA in English and should have an outstanding academic record.
