History gives us the tools to use the wisdom of past generations and civilizations to help understand current problems. Our program includes Canadian, European and American history with courses in African and Asian studies, world religions, crime and punishment, Scottish Studies, the history of the family, women, sexuality, and slavery. Guelph has the largest collection of Scottish historical and literary materials outside of Scotland.
