Course Description

This programme aims to equip our students with additional knowledge, skills and attitudes that they would need to enter a successful career in business, and specifically financial management, accounting and banking. It is also relevant to students with experience who wish to switch from their current employment to a different job description. It aims to equip them with both the practical skills that enhance their employability in the finance and accounting business sectors and the knowledge and broader cognitive, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills that provide the foundation for lifelong learning. There are a number of specialisms which focus the degree these are:- FdA Business Administration (IT Management) FdA Business Administration (Accounting & Finance) FdA Business Administration (Marketing) The aims of the programme are: Our unique selling point is the focus in equipping our students with skills in three important areas of personal development: interpersonal skills, general management skills and financial skills Our student experience aims to enhance the employability of our students in very real pragmatic terms. The programme incorporates real projects with real companies, stock trader simulations and practice with finance and accounting software as is used in the corporate context There is also the option to progress/top up to a full honours degree BA Business Administration with Accounting in Finance through an additional year of study (Year 3) at the University of Greenwich.
