Course Description

Think that accountancy is a little bit boring? Then think again. Gone are the days of desk-bound, number-crunching finance. Today, accountancy careers offer great salaries, travel opportunities and the chance to work your way to the top. If you don’t want to specialise just yet, this is the most general of our accounting degrees. It gives you a solid grounding in four main themes: financial reporting, management accounting, financial management and computerised accounting systems. It is the perfect foundation for lots of different types of careers in the profession. You will develop a broad knowledge of business in the first year, taking an in-depth look at the many areas of accounting in years two and three. This course is fully accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) – the global body for professional accountants. If you successfully complete your degree, you will have already passed nine of the 14 papers you need to sit for ACCA membership. Not only will you graduate with a fantastic degree, you will be only five papers away from a professional qualification, making you especially attractive to employers.
