Adventure Tourism is off piste! It's around the world, around the country and around the corner in the Peak District. It is a new area of study that combines the classic tourism offer of sun, sea, sand and Sangria with sustainability, style and snow. It's about being forward looking, entrepreneurial and challenging the classic notions of the tourism experience. You will study in the beautiful spa town of Buxton in the heart of the Peak District - it's a perfect place to develop your skills in adventure related activities.

There are lots of exciting jobs you can go into including expedition leadership and on-site adventure tourism management. You will be able to apply for jobs in adventure tourism marketing and promotion in organisations in the UK and abroad. Recent graduates have progressed in to careers in adventure media such as guidebook writing and production. If you would like to teach, you will just need to take a suitable postgraduate training course after you have finished. Or you can go on to study a PhD.
