The University of Cambridge is one of the most distinguished universities in the world. Teaching has taken place here since 1209 and today there are around 18,000 students at the University. This includes over 3,500 international students from over 120 different countries. If you are thinking about applying to the University of Cambridge to study for a degree course, please use the 'Undergraduate' or 'Graduate' links. The University also welcomes international visitors to study for short periods, as detailed in the 'Visiting' link. Once here, all students have access to a wide range of information and support from their faculty/department, their College and the Student Registry; all are familiar with the needs of international students. Specialist support is offered by the International Student Team. Our Student Gateway describes academic life and the support available. As well as a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, the University of Cambridge runs International Summer Schools through the Institute of Continuing Education.
