Course Description

Electrical Engineering is a broad field encompassing many diverse areas. The EE program emphasizes teaching and research in the areas of: Computers and digital systems Control systems Communications Computer engineering Device fabrication Electronics Electromagnetics Electro-optics Physics and fabrication of electronic and photonic devices Signal processing VLSI design Electrical Engineering is a broad field encompassing many diverse areas. As in most areas of engineering, knowledge of mathematics and the natural sciences is combined with engineering fundamentals and applied to the theory, design, analysis, and implementation of devices and systems for the benefit of society. The undergraduate curriculum in Electrical Engineering is designed to provide students with a solid background in mathematics, physical sciences, and traditional electrical engineering topics. A wide range of program options are offered, including but not limited to: Wireless and optical communications Semiconductor device physics and fabrication High-frequency RF/microwave circuits and antennas High-speed analog, digital, and mixed-signal IC design Solid-state lighting and optoelectronics Micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) Digital Signal and Image Processing Control Systems and Robotics
