Course Description

As a business major, you will learn core elements of business, such as accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management and marketing. The general business specialization will expand your knowledge through the 15 elective credits you choose to customize your studies: • one course from each of three disciplines, such as accounting, finance, information systems, management science, management or marketing.• two additional business electives of your choosing. The Merrick Advising Center will assist you in choosing and will provide final approval on your electives. Classroom courses are offered to full-time and part-time students during the day and in the evening; many courses are also offered online. As one of the pioneers of online-accredited business education, the University of Baltimore offers a webBachelor’s program, which allows you to complete the upper-level business administration requirements for the general business specialization entirely online. It’s designed specifically for those who lead busy lives or live and work far from the Baltimore campus. Don’t worry: If you change your mind and want to take a class on campus, you have the flexibility to do so.
