Become an expert in taking care of an organization's vital information technology needs and in supporting the people who use those IT systems.In this Bachelor of Science program for transfer students only, you'll explore networking, developing desktop and server-based applications and building and supporting websites—learning cutting-edge IT technologies at a much deeper level than that of traditional IT certification training.While earning an IT certification is not a requirement of this program, we encourage you to do so in conjunction with your degree, and you should be able to complete at least one major IT certification by the time you graduate from the program. About a third of your time in the Applied Information Technology program will be devoted to hands-on activities such as: * building and troubleshooting computers * constructing wired and wireless computer networks * writing and publishing desktop and server-based applications * installing and configuring secure Web servers * creating interactive websites.
