Course Description

Computer Science (General) Three-year degree program Offers exposure to the various components of Computer Science Provides a solid background in the foundation of computing and other subject areas Computer Science (Honours) Four-year degree program Provides in-depth advanced theory and practice Artificial Intelligence: Includes topics such as logic and symbolic programming, search techniques, knowledge representations, planning and natural language processing Game Development: Focuses on topics relevant to computer game development such as artificial intelligence for computer games, graphics, multimedia and team-oriented game development • A game development capstone project completes the final year • Provides a solid groundwork for entry level positions in the rapidly growing game and game-related industries Multi-Media: Emphasizes WWW, visualization and human computer interface • Courses in Computer Science can be integrated with Communication, Media and Film Studies and Visual Arts Networks & Security: Provides training in network design and administration, software systems design and construction • Emphasizes theoretical and practical aspects of networks including network security and advanced topics such as multimedia networks, mobile computing, optical and ad-hoc networks
