Through a series of studio-based explorations you'll develop your ideas into art. Units, methods and approaches to art-making form a major that is based on critical thinking. The Fine Arts major can be undertaken as a degree-specific or second major. The first two years of study encourage you to develop multiple skills from a variety of methods before completing your study in the final year core units. The Level 3 core units provide you with opportunities to undertake self-initiated research projects. Here you will consolidate your knowledge and turn your ideas into developmental concepts unique to the framework of creative art.

Career Pathways UWA Fine Arts graduates are employed in influential positions within Australia and internationally in a plethora of professions as entrepreneurial artists, curators, designers, film makers, musicians, academics, writers, journalists, editors, publicists, within areas of gallery management, arts administration, cultural festival coordination, corporate public relations, marketing, communication, management, public service investigation and policy research.
