Course Description

The undergraduate degree in Child and Family Development prepares students to be outstanding professionals in a variety of careers focused on families and young children. Specifically, the program leading to the B.A. degree prepares graduates to work in educational and related settings that serve infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners with and without disabilities, and their families. The program prepares graduates for the Standard Professional 1 (SP1) Professional Educator’s License in birth-kindergarten (B-K) education. Admission to the Child and Family Development major requires an overall GPA of at least 2.5 in at least 45 semester hours of coursework.
