Course Description

The Diploma in Administration (Business Professional) at level 3 is designed to prepare the aspiring administrator for working in a senior role. Routine office activities in administration are covered and extended to include an understanding of the functions and roles of business and aspects of management. The main functional areas of business are studied for example, human resources, admin, IT, purchasing. Different organisational structures are researched. Management theories are reviewed. At operational level, units include the recruitment and selection of staff, review and evaluation of office procedures, research and preparation of reports, applying legislation which affects an organisation, chairing meetings, preparing and presenting information.
