Course Description

The Higher National Certificate is designed to provide a specialist vocational programme, linked to professional body requirements and with a strong work related emphasis. The qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in its specialist sector and its wide recognition by employers allows progression directly into employment. BTEC Higher National Certificate offers a strong emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding in the construction and the built environment sector. This course offers a broad based introduction to construction and the built environment. The course is delivered through seminars and tutorials. Assessment includes essays, case studies, projects, presentations and work based learning.
