A2 Level Physics

Course Description

This course is for you if you are interested in an innovative course that has been designed to engage and inspire you by providing concept-led and context-based approaches. The concept-led approach begins with a study of the laws, theories and models of physics and finishes with an exploration of their practical applications. The context based approach begins with the consideration of an application that draws on many different areas of physics, and then moves on to the laws, theories and models of physics underlying this application. All A Level courses are delivered in partnership with the College of North West London. The courses will be delivered at the Islamic College for Advanced Studies in Kilburn while some practical aspects will be delivered at the College of North West London’s Willesden Centre. When you enrol, you will be a student of the College of North West London and this allows you access to a wide range of facilities and services.

Career outcomes

You will need at least 5 GCSE grades at A*-C (including grade B or above in Physics) and AS Level in Physics. You will need English and Maths at Level 2. On application, if you do not have evidence of your English and Maths levels you will be given an online assessment. You will then be offered an interview with the tutor to discuss the course and take a vocational assessment.
