The landscape architecture program instills in students the basic skills and knowledge required to enter the profession in the public or the private sector. The program emphasizes physical design and planning in both the natural and urban environments. Both the B.L.A, and M.L.A. degrees are accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAAB). Students are required to intern in the offices of registered landscape architects, planners, or allied professionals during at least one summer prior to the student’s senior year. Offices and classroom facilities are located in the Plant Science Building and studios are in the Agriculture Pavilion and the CASNR Annex.
