This programme is more than just learning to driver diggers. It provides you with a broad range of skills and knowledge to prepare for entry into civil construction and extractive industries. This full time programme is 30 weeks in length made up of: * 6 weeks tutored theory * 12 weeks tutored practical * 12 weeks work based training in the civil construction industries

This is a hands-on practical programme, designed to give the students the knowledge and skills to gain employment in the following fields: • civil construction • quarrying • open cast mining • underground mining • heavy plant operation • horizontal drilling • agricultural contracting • road building • forestry • underground services • water reticulation • earthmoving
