The Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Certificate program is designed for those nurses who hold the master's degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing or another nursing specialty and are seeking preparation for the role of psychiatric nurse practitioner. Upon completion of the certificate program students are eligible to sit for the psychiatric nurse practitioner certificate examination. Post MSN students who do not have their MSN in Psychiatric Nursing will be assessed on an individual basis and may have to take additional course work in the track to acquire the competencies required to be eligible to sit for national certification.
