This qualification explores the geophysical and chemical formation of petroleum and the concepts of petroleum geology. You will learn about drilling operations, both onshore and offshore; concepts of downhole pressure conditions and formation mechanisms and develop a strong awareness of well control methodologies. Advanced Diploma students will also learn about advanced concepts of drilling and the management of the environmental effects of engineering activity.

You can work both in office and field jobs in the areas of exploration, drilling, production, planning and management.
