Career outcomes

Career development and professional practice skills are critical for artists and an integral part of the film program and Department of Transmedia curricula. In addition to the tools acquired in your program, you may take advantage of the College of Visual and Performing Arts' Professional Practices in Visual Arts course, which prepares students to become professional, working artists. Visiting and resident artists and scholars are a wealth of professional knowledge, and you will have the opportunity to interact with them throughout your Syracuse education. In addition to the numerous visiting artist events in the Department of Transmedia, VPA, and the organizations of SU's Coalition of Museum and Art Centers, you can attend University Lectures, Syracuse Symposium events, and more.
