Our major in International Economics combines the study of economics with courses in the politics, history, and cultures of other countries, as well as a foreign language. You can choose to specialize in French or Spanish to supplement your economics and social science courses. The program is designed for students who are interested in a career in international business, management, government, or law. Your courses will prepare you to observe and infer from data, as well as use economic tools to analyze global issues. As a part of Suffolk's Economics Department, you’ll be part of a vibrant community of students, scholars, and professors who synthesize data to solve social issues and substantiate policy decisions. You’ll be treated like a colleague: Expect to work alongside professors on key research and policy issues; many of our scholars are frequently called on to provide policy advice and media commentary.
