This 2D Practices concentration include courses in painting, drawing, printmaking and design. Beginning courses cover the fundamentals principles and skills of each discipline to support the development and discovery of your creative potential. As you progress in the program, you are encouraged to find and explore your individual artistic vision while developing a cohesive body of work and ideas that are explored though painting, printmaking and/or drawing. Individual and group critiques enable you to work closely with faculty and the facilities promote and emphasize a productive artist community with 24-hour access in an open, multi-disciplinary environment. The program seeks to enrich and develop your technical and conceptual growth in art making within the context of Sierra Nevada College’s Liberal Arts environment.
