Course Description

The accounting major provides broad exposure to the liberal arts as well as science and management concepts. Beyond this core, students choose an option that best fits their career interests. Students planning a career in public accounting may select undergraduate course work preparing them to enter RIT’s MBA-accounting program. Completion of both the BS and MBA-accounting degrees satisfies the New York state CPA education requirements (see electives). Students may tailor the major to meet diverse career opportunities in commercial, government, and not-for-profit sectors.
