This course has been designed for students who wish to gain a qualification with a broader range of biomedical science subjects, to allow them to find employment in the medical/pharmaceutical sector. As the degree has accreditation from the institute of Biomedical Science, graduates will also be able to gain employment as a biomedical scientist. However, you will have to undertake additional hospital laboratory training before you will be eligible to register with the Health Professions Council. Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) is one of the three routes that form the Biomedical Sciences Programme. Independent of which BSc (Hons) course you aim to study, all students within the Programme follow a common foundation year followed by a second year selection into their BSc (Hons) course.
