The Department of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS) combines the personal attention of a small department, with a unique breadth of training. BMS offers graduate study leading toward a master’s degree and a doctoral degree. The department also offers a combined degree/dual degree option for students in the of DVM professional curriculum. Because of its size, the BMS graduate program is ideal for students who wish to do their graduate work in a department that allows time and opportunity for individual attention and a close student-advisor mentoring relationships.
