Course Description

During this course you will gain an understanding of how laws are created and used in court, how courts are structured, the roles of court personnel and the components of criminal and civil law. You will use what you learn in the classroom to make judgements on real cases developing a range of skills such as logical thinking, analysing and solving problems and applying legal rules to communicate your arguments clearly and effectively. Units of study include: - The Creation of Law & Judicial Precedents - The Structure of Courts - Criminal Law - Civil Law - Origins of Law
