Course Description

Associate of Applied Science in Building and Construction The Construction Management program’s mission is dedicated to creating graduates that are knowledgeable, well rounded professionals capable of meeting the future needs of the construction industry. The program prepares students for professional leadership and instills the impetus for lifelong learning. The curriculum stresses technical knowledge, business acumen, and understanding of the strategic and diverse interests among project stakeholders. Values embedded in the curriculum support creative problem solving, emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and ethical principles. Formal education is linked to practical experience, creating alumni who are skilled planners and managers of construction projects from concept to completion. Students who sucessfully complete the two year AAS degree in Bulding and Construction and wish to continue their education, may apply for admission to the four year Bachelors of Professional Studies in Construction Management program without losing any time. They may apply in their third or fourth semester. Math Placement: All students must take and pass the on-line math placement exam prior to registering for MSCI-300 Calculus I. This test can be taken by loging on to my.pratt with your one-key and clicking on the LMS tab or by using the following link lms.pratt.edu/course/view.php?id=40387. You should see the course "Math Placement Exam," click on the course and follow the instructions.
