Information provided by our Careers & Employability Service Fran, our Careers Adviser for Digital Art and Technology, says:more info-readwhale.jpg "Many Digital Arts graduates go into work with design or software houses, and many companies in this industry are small to medium in size and often work in a project-based way. As a result, they tend not to recruit graduates on a regular annual basis; however graduates do tend to be employed in a junior role and from there can quickly work their way up to more senior positions. "Recent statistics show that multimedia graduates go into a wide range of IT and media-related positions, including design-related work such as games design, IT-focused work within technical support, programming or IT research, and administration. Some have also entered employment with media companies in areas such as sound and website production. "Other destinations for multimedia graduates include sales, marketing and public relations roles, often within IT or media companies or with retailers selling media-related products, as well as teaching." Visit the Plymouth University Careers website for more information on any of these areas, or call in to see the Careers & Employability Team in Gateway in the Roland Levinsky Building.
