The AAT Education and Training Scheme offers 3 levels of study: Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. Students can commence study at the Certificate level with no previous accounting experience. Students must register with the AAT to be eligible to sit the examinations. This programme is also available as an Apprenticeship giving young people aged 16 and over the opportunity to combine the experience of working, with the added benefit of college attendance on a day release (or evening) basis.
