Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical)

Course Description

This course further develops your understanding of scientific principles and how they apply to mechanical engineering situations. You will have the opportunity to participate in workshop projects, designing and developing your own machinery as well as learning about plant and process design. This course also provides you with basic project management skills and gives you the opportunity to use CAD skills developed in the Diploma. University Pathways Central’s university pathway arrangements mean your Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical) will provide you with the opportunity for direct entry and an advanced standing in a course at Curtin University or University of Southern Queensland. Curtin University Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) Semester 1, Year 2, 200 credits University of Southern Queensland Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) Assessed on an individual basis, credit of up to one semester equivalent full time. Credit will depend on units completed. Find out more about distance education study at USQ. Fee information Domestic students:The costs for this course for a semester are: $626 or $313 (concession). On top of this there is also a resource cost of $241. The resource fee is an estimate because the amount depends on which units you choose. You will be given the exact amount at enrolment. Paying your fees You will be expected to pay your course fees in full at the time of enrolment. Fees can be paid at our student services offices at any of Central’s campuses. You can also pay by credit card over the phone, however, if you wish to pay by instalments, you will need to make your first payment in person and sign the payment plan terms and conditions.
