Emergency Medical Responder

Course Description

Recognized by the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics, the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate program prepares students with first aid training in providing emergency responses. This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary for firefighters, law enforcement, emergency medical service personnel, etc. in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until the next level of health care personnel takes over.

Career Opportunities The EMR course provides candidates with foundational knowledge in human anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology; supporting further learning and development in health science.
