On this wide-ranging and flexible course you will develop the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in human resource management (HRM) in a range of organisational settings. You will learn how organisations manage, motivate, reward and empower their people in today's globalised business environment. You will make decisions in complex and unpredictable contexts, become familiar with the complexities of organisational life and of business and commercial environments, and develop understanding of the significance of the HRM function to organisational success. You will develop your specialist knowledge and understanding of human resource management (HRM). Through a selection of modules, you can complement your HRM expertise with electives from a range of business areas. Alternatively, after the first year you can change to a different degree in either Business and Management, International Business Management or Business, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship*.

This course will enable you to secure positions in a range of settings, such as business, a major charity, education, health care or government, nationally or internationally. Many graduates go on to graduate traineeships in international companies such as AC Nielsen, IBM, Virgin Mobile, Intel, Yell Ltd, Aldi, O2 and Dell.
