Course Description

Take a leading edge with a professional career in construction. Qualified construction professionals are in high demand and this qualification will give you what you need to take an active lead role in the changing world of construction. In addition to gaining the technical, work-ready skills to price and manage construction work, you will also be able to challenge the status quo to improve processes and drive efficiencies - skills highly sought-after by employees. During this programme, you will be trained in the planning and management of construction projects including budgeting and financial forecasting, tendering, contract administration, programming, management (risk, value, business, and health and safety) and quality assurance. You will also complete projects in your chosen field. Graduates may work as a consultant quantity surveyor or as an estimator, contract manager, contract administrator or project manager. With experience, you may become a senior consultant, commercial or divisional manager, or operate your own consultancy. With further study, you could specialise in the field of construction law or dispute resolution.
