BA (Hons) Counselling

Course Description

This course aims to provide students with a programme of study that broadens and deepens their knowledge and skills of counselling principles and practice and builds upon the studies they have already undertaken at Foundation Degree, or equivalent. It is designed to facilitate students who may be considering applying for personal accreditation with the BACP; to increase the studentsÂ’ confidence in working therapeutically with groups, as well as individuals and to equip counsellors with skills as a researcher. The course is validated by Leeds Metropolitan University and students have access to their facilities as well as the facilities at New College Durham.
