Course Description

This two-year programme of study focuses on the theory and practice of a range of computing systems and networks, and how these systems are used to support business practices. It aims to produce graduates with a sound technical understanding of information technology and the application of IT to business information systems. The course has an emphasis on developing skills in problem solving, interpersonal communication and addressing IT problems in a range of contexts. The programme’s core is the fundamentals of information systems, hardware and software infrastructure, user applications and communication. In the second year students are able to specialise in networking or user support.
