Institute of Criminal Justice Studies The Institute of Criminal Justice Studies was founded in 1992 and has since become one of the UK's leading centres for research and course provision in criminology, criminal justice and police studies. With 50 academic staff and more than 1,800 students, the Institute is one of the largest departments of its kind and has become an internationally renowned focal point for the multidisciplinary study of crime and criminal justice processes. It draws together expertise in criminological analysis, applied psychology, police governance and management, victimology, penology, risk, security and international and comparative criminal justice. School of Education and Continuing Studies The course is intended for teachers, trainers, lecturers and instructors in the state, private, public, commercial or voluntary sectors of education and training who aspire to senior management positions. Many graduates of the course attain senior management positions in education or training organisations
