Course Description

The School of Law is a thriving, innovative, well regarded provider of legal education which produces confident and employable graduates. Based in the Anglesea Building, the School of Law has state-of-the-art teaching facilities and staff with a wide variety of practical and academic experience of law. All LLB degrees are accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board, and the School has recently opened a mock courtroom with facilities comparable to a real court of law which allows students to simulate full scale trials. At the School of Social, Historical and Literary Studies, the study of politics and international relations explores power - who has it, and how they use it in national and global arenas. This means study and research in topics from globalisation to local governance, from economic integration to war and terrorism. The academic staff of the department are all active in both research and teaching, giving students access to the most recent thought in this field as they learn. The school's research also contributes to the work of the Centre for European and International Studies Research (CEISR), a respected centre for research across the humanities and social sciences. Your lecturers will be drawn from active researchers, all members of the Centre for European and International Studies Research (CEISR), so that each unit of study is informed by the most up-to-date thinking available in the field.
