The Swansea University College of Arts and Humanities offers students the opportunity to study a wide range of subjects in a world class environment. The ICWS Pre-Masters course offers students from a variety of academic backgrounds to specialise into their area of choice, or to assist students whose academic qualifications do not allow for direct masters entrance. The College is broken down into a number of departments, with a range of quality Masters programmes. Department of Languages, Translation and Communication LTC is home to research and teaching in Modern Languages including Arabic & Chinese, Translation and Interpreting and Communication, Media Practice and Public Relations (PR). Media programmes cover a range of platforms including print, broadcast, film and new media, with tuition from industry leading professionals. Department of Political and Cultural Studies Politics and International Relations at Swansea University investigates issues such as genocide, financial crisis, the role of the US and other powers in the shaping of the world, the future of political devolution, the impact of new media technologies on politics and society, the justifications (or lack of them) for war, the politics of post-conflict and developing societies, democracy and democratisation.
