Deakin has been working in partnership with Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT) since 1996 to provide a leading pathway program in Australia. For Australian and International students who miss out on direct entry to Deakin, the MIBT pathway may provide them with an alternative entry to university studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students can start their pathway to undergraduate studies through either the Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or Diploma courses. Courses are offered in Commerce, Computing, Engineering, Health Sciences, Management, Media and Communication and Science. On satisfactory completion of an MIBT diploma and subject to meeting University academic entrance criteria, MIBT graduates will be offered a place to start in second year of a Deakin University undergraduate degree at one of Deakin's campuses. MIBT also has a Postgraduate Qualifying Program (Business and Law) for entry to Masters degrees in the disciplines of business and law. This course is only available for international students.
